After last night maybe not a bad idea. The Brewers need pitching and even though the newbies are looking good the Crew needs a commanding Ace. If the Brewers really think they can not reach a deal with Fielder then they should look at Oswalt.
He has had some problems along the way but he is still more durable and pitches better than Sheets. If the Astros need to get Oswalt out then maybe now is the time to pick him up.

It has been a rough road of late for the Brew Crew. The home field advantage seems to have been lost on the team and right now the pieces seem to be unraveling on the road. The stars are making mistakes, Hoffman's pitching, Braun's baserunning, etc.
Things are falling apart and the manager seems to have little effect on holding it together. Is it time for Macha to go? The snowball is rolling downhill.
This team has talent to reverse direction and get back on track but how much time should pass before there are steps made to change the current direction?
It is too soon to make a trade with Prince to get some pitching. Everyone saw that the pitching staff was a weak point in the lineup coming into the season and now it is showing it's ugly head. Trading Prince now would not give the Crew the return value that he should demand. Waiting for the trading deadline should be soonest they should consider a trade.
So what is left for the Crew to do? Macha is in the Hot Seat.

Well the time has come for a change at manager. I can actually say that I was at the last game that Ned Yost managed a win for the Brewers. Unfortunately that was the middle of last week. The writting was on the wall for Ned. The addition of CC was the tell tale message for Ned to push the Brewers to the end of the season. When the upper management made the statement that they are "going for it" this year it was the signal to put up or shut up. Since the Cubs swept the Brewers last month they have had a losing spirit that has captured the clubhouse. That
Will this jump start the ailing bats of the Brew Crew? Will the players rally and save the season? I hope so but, probably not.

The Brew Crew split the last two games in St. Louis to end the season series ahead of the Cards. All the Cardinals can talk about is how the Brewers are a bunch of no class punks. Pujols is the leader of the charges and took offense to the Crew showing some emotion on the playfield and untucking their shirts after a win. If the Brew Crew only did that against the Cardinals I could see Pujols' point. They do it every game and have been doing it for some time now. Funny how only when the Cards are behind the Crew this is a problem. And they are the only team to bring it up, sure now there may be some bandwagon jumpers but I doubt that there will be many. This sounds like sour grapes to me. Suck it up Cards and go out and play ball. Otherwise I'm sure that the Crew could send you some great Wisconsin Cheese to go with that Whine.
